Did you know the Adobe add-on on Google Workspace led to over million installs, and has ten-fold impact in productivity? Read the blog to explore ways to empower creative teams with collaboration tools to share and manage creative assets.

Every day, individual people and creative teams combine Google Workspace with Adobe Creative Cloud to bring their best ideas to life and delight their customers or friends, across photography, design, video, 3D design, and more. In fact, Adobe’s add-on for Google Workspace has had over a million installs and counting. By partnering with Adobe, we’re helping people boost creative collaboration wherever and however they work together. And they can benefit from a potential tenfold increase in productivity that results from things like shared libraries and styles across all the apps they use.

We started integrating Adobe apps with Google Workspace last year by introducing Adobe XD integration into Flutter, enabling developers to simplify the design-to-development workflow, and letting creative teams design apps in XD and convert those designs into Flutter code with the click of a button.

Next, we brought together Adobe Creative Cloud and Gmail to make it easier to share links to your creative assets with external teams and stakeholders through email. With this integration, you can search for your Creative Cloud assets and attach public links to synced files, libraries, and creations made on mobile devices without leaving Gmail. You can also save any attachments received in Gmail directly to Creative Cloud in a few clicks.

This year we are furthering our collaboration with Adobe with some exciting new capabilities. We’re integrating Adobe Creative Cloud with Docs and Slides, and launching Adobe Creative Cloud for Chrome.

The integration of Adobe Creative Cloud with Docs and Slides will give creative and business stakeholders a single source of truth and a powerful new way to manage brand assets. With easy access to Creative Cloud Libraries inside both Adobe Creative Cloud (with apps like Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD, and more) and inside Google Workspace (with apps like Gmail, Docs, and Slides), marketing and product design teams can seamlessly share work, get feedback, and stay connected along the way. Learn more about this integration.

Adobe Creative Cloud for Chrome is a new extension that lets designers draw inspiration from the web’s most beautiful designs and artwork. Whether you’re looking for color combinations, patterns, vector shapes, or gradients extracted from images, the new Chrome extension helps you capture them from the source and apply them to your own design work. Adobe Capture features are available on mobileon desktop for Photoshop and Creative Cloud Libraries, and now on the web, so wherever and whenever inspiration strikes, you’ll be ready to capture the moment. This feature became available in May. Learn more

These new integrations between Adobe Creative Cloud and Google Workspace and Google Chrome let creatives focus on what they do best: ideate, create, and innovate. Creative teams of 1 or 100 have fast, seamless access to the digital assets and editor tools that bring their work to life. And they’re ready to capture inspiration from the web whenever and wherever it strikes using Google Chrome. We’re committed to boosting creative collaboration in Google Workspace with Adobe as a trusted partner. Start using  Google Workspace and Creative Cloud today.

Check out story excerpts from the Goggle Cloud Public Sector Summit Session on Scaling Virtual Support in the Pandemic Era: The AI Connection to learn how Google Cloud's Contact Center Artificial Intelligence (CCAI) powered the community.

Scaling Virtual Support in the Pandemic Era: The AI Connection

Since the early days of the pandemic, we’ve partnered with government organizations and academic institutions to serve communities at scale with Contact Center Artificial Intelligence (CCAI). I sat down with Bill MacKenzie, IT liaison for the Upper Grand School District in Ontario, and Marco Palermo, director of digital government and modernization, to discuss how they embraced CCAI to introduce scalable service delivery to residents and students alike. I’m sharing more on their stories below, and for the full overview, check out our Google Cloud Public Sector Summit session, Scaling Virtual Support in the Pandemic Era: The AI Connection.

Upper Grand School District: Answering questions with speed and accuracy

Bill MacKenzie described the Upper Grand School District’s struggles at the beginning of the pandemic, particularly helping parents with IT issues. The staff-oriented help desk was not equipped to assist parents trying to securely login for students as young as kindergarten. Without sufficient support for parents, the District was struggling to handle thousands of phone calls a day.

To alleviate the manual strain, they turned to Quantiphi, a Google Cloud partner, to implement Google Cloud Dialogflow. They were fully functional within a few weeks. The new website provided real-time responses as well as clear documentation to help parents get up and running quickly.

“In the first 10 days, we had over 5,000 hits, and the accuracy rate was 92%,” MacKenzie said.

The district doesn’t know what the future holds, but now that they have been through the process, they are confident they now understand how to create their own bots to meet critical needs.

City of Toronto: Getting critical information to the community

Marco Palermo explained how the city of Toronto was facing a very rapid and fluid situation at the beginning of the pandemic. Getting information to constituents was extremely important, and they needed alternative channels to deliver that information.

Toronto has been committed to workforce equity and inclusivity in order to best represent the diversity of its residents. As a result, solutions had to be accessible to all. The bot handled 25,330 unique users and addressed 20,174 total questions with an 80% accurate response rate in the first four months. It’s been a huge success for the city, with plans to expand its capabilities.

Personalized response to the pandemic challenge

I noted that even before the pandemic, government leaders were asking for a way to provide more flexible personal experiences and better support outside of normal business hours. Around 60% of constituents want more self-service options and 75% would happily interact with digital resources if they could get the answers they needed.

Google Cloud CCAI  addresses these needs with a single core of intelligence that provides a consistently high-quality conversational experience—human or virtual—across all channels and platforms. It can be deployed on legacy infrastructure without upgrades in an average of two weeks.

CCAI operates with a conversational core that centralizes the ability to talk, understand, and interact, orchestrating high-quality conversations at scale. It provides services in three different ways:

  • Virtual Agent AI allows natural conversation with customers to identify and address their issues effectively
  • Agent Assist AI helps human agents by providing real-time turn-by-turn guidance so they can better serve constituents
  • Insight AI determines metrics and trends in real-time to enable faster and more accurate insights

CCAI provides consistency across every application. It can go off-script when answering complex questions, adjusting human conversation with the capacity to handle unexpected stops and starts, odd word choices, or implied meanings. It can also handle multiple use cases for the customer, such as taking payments, updating information, providing information, and more. By allowing agencies to automate routine tasks and reduce the amount of time employees need to dedicate to answering calls, the solution created cost savings for the agency.

To cater to the changing customer behaviors and demand for superior retail shopping experience, Google introduces Product Locator and updates Store Locator Plus! Read to learn how these offerings deliver best online-to-offline retail experience.

We all experienced, first hand, how Covid-19 has impacted the world and our communities. Last year, store closures, reduced hours, and social-distancing requirements drove people to adopt more e-commerce options, which, according to eMarketer, grew 27.6% worldwide in 2020. Meanwhile, consumer desires to shop locally also grew with Google searches for “____ near me” up 100% year over year,1 and 1 in 3 consumers having tried curbside pickup over the last year.2

As countries begin to lift Covid-19 restrictions, businesses are looking toward a post-pandemic future and asking ‘Which of these shopping trends will stick and how should I adapt?’ At Google, we expect consumers to continue demanding helpful shopping experiences that blur the line between the physical retail and digital experience, as well as help them to continue shopping locally.3 To address these changes in shopper behavior, we refreshed our retail solutions—adding a new solution, Product Locator, and updating Store Locator Plus—to help you offer the best possible online-to-offline experience and drive shoppers to your stores.

Introducing Product Locator solution: connecting online shopping to nearby stores

Under Covid restrictions, consumers have grown accustomed to having a myriad of shopping options, from curbside pickup to same-day delivery. Increased searches for ‘along my route’ and ‘in stock’ tell us that convenience is king for today’s consumer.4 Retailers can increase online conversion rates and drive store visits by including product availability and pick-up options on each of their product description pages (PDP); emphasizing the speed and convenience of these options and saving on significant shipping costs.

Our newest retail solution, Product Locator, can further help drive customers to visit by showing the exact distance stores are to the shopper and even estimated driving time, to further highlight the convenience of a store visit. A study conducted by Shopify found that showcasing local inventory boosted key store metrics including 45% of local pickup who made an additional purchase upon arrival.5 See the Product Locator solution guide to get started today.

How to sustainably transform while minimizing risk

Discover how the Google Cloud Ready - Sustainability initiative is driving firms towards a net-zero future. Explore certified solutions from partners like Atlas AI, Climate Engine, Kumi Analytics, and Tensorflight that enable organizations to adapt.

In previous blog posts, we’ve discussed the benefits that organizations can reap by measuring and then optimizing their overall ESG impact. In this post, we’ll look at the endgame: sustainable transformation into an organization that continually adapts to maximize its resilience while reducing risk. Where will my customers be with the evolving global community landscape? How can I design communities and products with sustainability in mind? Are my assets exposed to physical climate risk — drought, flood, wildfire? Adaptation and resilience are the board and legislative focus areas that the ambition loops created by Google Cloud Ready – Sustainability seek to accelerate.

This is especially important due to the scrutiny of governments and financial institutions as they evaluate the viability of physical asset investments. These organizations want assurances that their investments will not be under undue environmental risk. Similarly, companies embarking on net-zero transitions can realize interest expense savings by providing the measurable, accountable assurances their financiers demand.

Leveraging analytics for climate and business resilience

We’ve said it before, but it bears repeating: The Google Cloud Ready – Sustainability program challenges the notion that sustainability is just a nice-to-have or merely good PR. Rather, we designed the program to help organizations adapt to a net-zero future with solutions that reduce risk, support growth, provide competitive advantages, and positively impact the bottom line. The following partners provide data and analytics that offer deep insights into the environment, natural resources, and social trends that point the way toward sustainable, profitable growth.

Atlas AI has built a geospatial artificial intelligence platform that helps every organization anticipate changing societal conditions — where people live, where wealth and poverty are concentrated, how the physical makeup of communities is evolving, and more — to determine where to invest today to prepare for the world of tomorrow. Atlas AI customers, which range from the World Bank and global NGOs to multinational corporations, use the platform to accelerate growth, future-proof supply chains, target resources to vulnerable populations, and build greater resilience to climate change.

Climate Engine’s SpatiaFi solution, powered by Google Cloud, helps financial services organizations connect economic assets to the world of Earth observation data supporting regulatory reporting, climate risk reduction, and new innovative sustainable finance offerings. Combining billions of planetary observations with peer-reviewed scientific methods, SpatiaFi is connecting Earth science to operational systems offering new levels of accuracy, transparency, scalability, and trust in climate and sustainability data in the context of financial decision-making.

Kumi Analytics‘ KACSAT solution was approved by OxCarbon as a methodology for the calculation and verification of voluntary carbon offsets in support of nature-based solutions. KACSAT leverages multiple satellite platforms and Google Earth Engine‘s state-of-the-art processing tools to enable science-based carbon assessment aligned to the Oxford Offsetting Principles of environmental integrity, additionality, permanence, and achieving net-zero emissions. Environmental organizations, financial institutions, and corporations can now offset their carbon footprints through the reforestation and conservation of millions of hectares of forests — something that was previously limited due to the cost and time of validating high-quality forest projects.

Tensorflight revolutionizes property underwriting with AI. Its cutting-edge tool provides underwriters and insurers with access to rich and highly accurate datasets for commercial and residential properties, enabling them to create superior insurance products. As pioneers of the first property-inspection platform based on convolutional neural networks, Tensorflight’s advanced technology connects seamlessly via API and utilizes ground-level imagery, satellite, and aerial data. This unique approach enables the company to generate precise replacement costs and conduct more comprehensive risk assessments. By automating property inspections and enhancing underwriting accuracy, Tensorflight empowers insurance providers to plan for the future with pragmatic decision-making. With Tensorflight, the future of property underwriting is transformed, offering unparalleled insights, efficiency, and sustainability.

Are you ready for sustainability transformation?

Transforming into a net-zero organization means much more than building resilience to climate change, as important as that is. It also means finding the customers of the future, achieving ongoing energy savings, more sustainable resource usage, and improved transparency to regulatory institutions and consumers. Google Cloud Ready – Sustainability partners offer certified solutions that can help organizations get there.

Look for Google Cloud Ready – Sustainability validated solutions on the Google Cloud Partner Directory Listing, Google Cloud Ready Sustainability Partner Advantage page, and — if applicable — via the Google Cloud Marketplace. We hope to help customers better understand how these technologies can help them meet their ESG goals, find the right solutions for their particular challenges, and implement solutions faster.
