Apigee: Unlock Innovation by Managing APIs for SAP Workloads

Businesses migrating their SAP environments to Google Cloud do so for a number of reasons. Most cite the agility, scalability and security advantages of migrating SAP workloads to Google Cloud; many also focus on improved uptime and performance.
At some point, most businesses also want to explore the idea that there’s a fortune locked up in their business data—and that the cloud holds the key. But leveraging the cloud to transform data into dollars is a process that involves special challenges—and specialized tools to address these challenges. For businesses running SAP environments in the cloud, most of which maintain a significant stake in legacy systems and data stores, the challenges tend to get even bigger.
The promises and pitfalls of APIs
This is where Google Cloud’s advanced data analytics, machine learning and AI capabilities, especially our API (application programming interface) management tools, come into play. Our Apigee API Management Platform is emerging as a star player for many of our SAP customers because it can open the door to innovation and opportunity for SAP systems and data stores.
API management speaks directly to what it really means to get value from business data. By connecting the right data sets with people willing and able to monetize that data, your business can benefit both indirectly (for example, by generating insights that lead to increased sales or better customer experiences) and directly (such as by selling access to your data to another business).
APIs have emerged as a pillar of modern digital business practices because they facilitate precisely these types of transactions. Today, every mobile device, website and application uses APIs to access connected services and data sources. APIs provide connection points between apps, platforms and entire application ecosystems. And by using de-facto standards such as REST (representational state transfer), businesses can utilize APIs to build and deploy innovative applications quickly.
3 reasons legacy systems and modern APIs don’t mix
Google Cloud customers running SAP environments may be ready to find the value in their data, but their SAP systems and data, as well as legacy APIs that don’t adhere to REST or other modern approaches, may not quite be up to the task. This is because:
- Balancing accessibility, usability and security is a tough task—and the stakes are high. Opening up access to business-critical systems to third-party as well as internal developers could raise significant risks. Even for SAP teams with a high focus on security, the process of providing dependable, programmatic access to legacy SAP systems often involves significant time and effort. And while limiting access and API functionality are both valid ways to mitigate security risk, employing these tactics can slow the pace of innovation and very quickly undermine the reasons for starting this process in the first place.
- Managing APIs across legacy SAP applications and other data stores can be complex, costly and technically challenging. There’s a fundamental mismatch between the “how and why” of modern APIs and the types of programmatic access for which legacy systems were designed. Modern apps, for example, typically deliver API requests in far greater numbers; that’s true for client-side single-page applications as well as for more traditional server-side apps running on modern, elastically scaled app servers. There are also disparities in the size and structure of data payloads between what modern apps were designed to use and what legacy systems were designed to serve.
These examples boil down to the same issue: If your business is running legacy SAP systems or is in the process of migrating away from them, you’ll have serious work to do to make your data accessible for modern use cases and integrations. And asking third-party developers to adjust their methods and skill sets to consume your legacy systems is going to be a very tough sell.
- Monetizing API access presents another set of technical and practical challenges. For many companies, the name of the data game is monetization: actually charging developers for the privilege of accessing your high-value data sources. Getting this right isn’t just a matter of putting a virtual turnstile in front of your existing APIs. Any monetization strategy lives or dies based on its pricing—and this means understanding exactly who’s using your data, when they access it and how they’re using it. Even if you are not charging your developers for API calls, there are also some valuable insights to be gained from more advanced types of analysis, right up to having a unified view of every data flow and data interaction related to your organization’s API traffic. Overall, API monetization demands that APIs be built in a modern style, designed and maintained for developer consumption rather than just, per legacy methods, for exposing a system.
It probably comes as no surprise that an SAP environment, whether or not it’s considered legacy, was designed to focus on SAP system data and not designed to open the data inside an SAP system to other applications. And since these tools don’t build themselves, the question becomes, who will build them?
Apigee: Bridging the gaps with API management
An API management solution such as Apigee can help IT organizations tackle these issues more efficiently. In practice, companies are turning to Apigee for help with three primary SAP application modernization patterns, all of which speak to the challenges of using APIs to create value:
1. Modernizing legacy services. One of Apigee’s most important capabilities involves placing an API “wrapper” around legacy SAP interfaces. Developers then get to work with feature-rich, responsive, thoroughly modern APIs, and the Apigee platform handles the process of translating and optimizing incoming API calls before passing the requests through to the underlying SAP environment.
This approach to API management also gives IT organizations some useful capabilities. Apigee simplifies the process of designing, implementing and testing APIs that can add more functionality on top of legacy SAP interfaces; and it helps manage where, how and when developers work with APIs. This is also the basis for Apigee’s API monitoring and metrics—essential capabilities that would involve significant effort for most IT teams to build themselves.
2. Abstracting APIs from source systems. By providing an abstraction layer between SAP legacy systems and developers, the Apigee platform also ensures a consistent, reliable and predictable developer experience. Through this decoupling of APIs from the underlying source systems, Apigee can adjust to changes in the disposition and availability of systems while carrying on business as usual with developers using its APIs. In this way, SAP enterprises can package and market their API offerings—for example, publishing APIs through a developer portal—and lets them monitor API consumption by target systems.
Decoupling the source system from the developer entry points also shields connected applications from significant backend changes like a migration from ECC to S/4HANA. As you make backend changes to your services, apps continue to call the same API without any interruption. The migration may also provide opportunities for consolidating multiple SAP and non-SAP implementations into S/4HANA or cleaning up core SAP systems by moving out some of the functionality to cloud-native systems. Because Apigee abstracts consuming applications from changes to underlying systems and creates uniformity across these diverse systems, it can de-risk the migration from ECC to S/4HANA or similar consolidation projects.
3. Creating cloud-native, scalable services. Apigee also excels at bridging the often wide gap between SAP applications and modern, distributed application architectures in which microservices play an essential role. In addition to repackaging SAP data as a microservice and providing capabilities to monetize this data, Apigee takes on some essential performance, availability and security functions: handling access control, authentication, security monitoring and threat assessment plus throttling traffic when necessary to keep backend systems running normally while providing applications with an endpoint that can scale to suit any of your workloads.
Needless to say, Apigee’s security capabilities are absolutely essential no matter how you’re using API management tools. But because Apigee also offers performance, analytics and reliability features, it can position companies to jump into a fully mature API monetization strategy. At the same time, it can give IT teams confidence that opening their SAP systems to innovation does not expose mission critical systems to potential harm.
Conrad Electronic and Apigee: using APIs to drive innovation
We’re seeing quite a few businesses using Apigee to create value from legacy SAP environments in ways that didn’t seem possible before. For an example of how Apigee and the rest of Google Cloud work together to open new avenues for innovation for SAP users, consider Conrad Electronic.
Conrad Electronic combines many years of history as a successful German retailer with a progressive approach to innovation. The company has digitally transformed itself by leveraging an existing, legacy SAP environment alongside Google BigQuery, which provides a single repository for data that once resided in dozens of disparate systems. Conrad Electronic is using Apigee to amplify the impact and value of its transformation on two levels.
First, it’s using Apigee to manage data exchanges with shipping companies and with the procurement systems of its B2B customers, giving these companies an improved retail experience and reducing the friction and potential for error that come with traditional transaction environments.
At the same time, Conrad Electronic uses Apigee to give its own developers a modern set of tools for innovation and experimentation. A small development team ran with the idea, building an easy-to-use tool that gives in-store staff and visitors access to key product, service and warranty information, using their own tablets and other devices.
“APIs give people the freedom and independence to implement their ideas quickly and effectively,” said Aleš Drábek, Conrad Electronics’ Chief Digital and Disruption Officer. “As an effective API management solution, Apigee enables us to harness the power of APIs to transform how we interact with customers and how we transfer data with our B2B customers.”

May is a big month for the security industry. It’s been over a year since we gathered for RSA in San Francisco for one of 2020’s last major in-person events. While we likely won’t be together in person this year, it’s an important time for the security community to come together and reflect on many accomplishments, and to consider the challenges still ahead of us. As the world focuses on security incidents and all the risks that still need resolving, it is important to stand back, on occasion, and also note that immense progress has been made by large numbers of small, medium and large enterprises to protect themselves and their customers against increased threats. What is also amazing is to see organizations do this while accelerating their digital transformations, supporting and protecting customers and managing ongoing remote working challenges. We are privileged to play our part in supporting those great teams.
It’s also been a busy month for us here at Google Cloud since our inaugural CISO perspectives blog post in April. Today, I’ll recap our cloud security and industry highlights, a sneak peak of what’s ahead from Google at RSA and more.
Thoughts from around the industry
- Risk Governance of Digital Transformation in the Cloud – In our latest Office of the CISO whitepaper, we shared guidance on both the challenges and opportunities of cloud transformation for Chief Risk Officers, Chief Compliance Officers, Heads of Internal Audit and their teams. A misconception we sometimes see among these executives is that moving to the cloud creates more risk to manage. Having held these leadership positions in previous roles, I believe that the cloud is as much a means of managing security, resilience and other risks as it is a risk in its own right. The whitepaper dives deep into considerations for each of these leadership functions as their organization embarks on a digital transformation journey.
- The importance of meeting global compliance requirements – Compliance is critical for building trust with customers in regulated industries, especially the public sector. It is worth remembering that in any critical industry, where there can be material impact from incidents, strong industry practices and standards to protect customers are vital (I wrote about this last summer). At Google Cloud, we’re regularly adding new compliance and security certifications to meet our customers’ needs globally. Recently, we expanded our list of FedRAMP High-certified products to include Cloud DNS, and helped our customers in the Asia-Pacific region address various compliance requirements to meet new government regulations for security and data protections. Google Cloud was also the only cloud service provider to complete an annual pooled audit with the Collaborative Cloud Audit Group (CCAG), which is a syndicate of 39 leading European financial institutions and insurance companies who depend on cloud infrastructure and technologies to deliver innovative solutions and experiences for their customers. Having spent most of my career in the financial services industry, I know firsthand the importance of managing risk assessments for outsourced vendors to provide the necessary assurances customers need from their cloud providers.
RSA 2021
We have a great lineup of speaking sessions and keynotes from Googlers at RSA this year. Below are the highlights you don’t want to miss:
- I’ll be doing a session on May 20 about supply chain resilience, where a panel of experts will dive into how we can adjust risk and security initiatives to handle the next “punch to the supply chain.” Additionally, on May 18 I’ll join many of my esteemed CISO leaders from various industries and governments for a keynote discussion on our top security insights, lessons learned and best practices for how we move forward as an industry to address the next wave of challenges.
- Google’s Senior Director of Information Security Heather Adkins will deliver a session on how to build secure and reliable systems at scale, which will cover principles from Google’s Site Reliability Engineering book with the same title (available for free download here). I’m most looking forward to Heather’s advice for how we as an industry can reshape our security thinking, based on modern architectures and technologies that can help organizations design scalable and reliable systems that are fundamentally secure.
- Nelly Porter, Senior Product Manager at Google Cloud Security, will participate in a panel discussion with security experts on the importance of Confidential Computing technology, how it’s changing the security landscape and where it’s headed. Google Cloud has made great progress in delivering a Confidential Computing portfolio for our customers in regulated industries over the past year, and we’re excited for new milestones in 2021.
Google cloud security highlights
- Infrastructure and SRE spotlight – Before I joined Google Cloud, I always admired the infrastructure and benefits this organization delivers that are uniquely Google – from the subsea cable innovations to SRE inventions and principles. Security and resiliency are baked into every layer of our infrastructure. Many of the Googlers who build and support our platform have sat in the same seat as our customers, so they understand those needs intimately. Over the last few months it’s been amazing to watch our technical infrastructure team grow, and the direct reliability, operational resilience and security benefits that team brings to our customers. For example, we’ve opened a new region in Poland, announced the first subsea cable that will directly connect the U.S. to Singapore with fiber pairs over an express route, and released an SRE book focused on how organizations can complete a successful cloud migration.
- New security foundations blueprint guide – As part of our mission to deliver the industry’s most trusted cloud, we strive to operate in a shared-fate model for risk management in conjunction with our customers. This includes sharing opinionated step-by-step guidance with key decision points and focus areas for how our customers deploy workloads in Google Cloud. This is why we’ve updated our Google Cloud security foundations guide and corresponding Terraform blueprint scripts. These blueprints are tremendously helpful to many stakeholders within an enterprise, like a CISO that needs to understand our key principles for cloud security, or a C-Suite business leader that needs to quickly identify the skills their teams need to meet an organization’s security, risk, and compliance needs on Google Cloud.
When we think about the types of features to build into products, we have many principles we follow. But the two that I keep coming back to as crucial are:
- The need for secure products not just security products. All products should have security built in and while we do build great security products our security and other teams remain focused on constantly enhancing the base levels of security and the security features in all our products.
- Defense in Depth. We don’t just focus on defense in depth from attacks – for ourselves and our customers. We also prioritize defense in depth from configuration errors or other hazards.
As you see below in some of the highlights of new features and products, these represent our commitment to secure products and all forms of defense in depth.
- Workload identity federation – Service account keys are powerful credentials, and can represent a security risk if they are not managed correctly. A safer approach is to use workload identity federation, using IAM to grant external identities IAM roles, including the ability to impersonate service accounts. This lets you access resources directly and eliminates the maintenance and security burden associated with service account keys. We also offered related overall guidance on the best way to use and authenticate service accounts on Google Cloud.
- VPC-SC Directional Policies – With VPC Service Controls (VPC-SC), admins can define a security perimeter around Google-managed services to control communication to and between those services. Using VPC-SC, you can isolate your production GCP resources from unauthorized VPC networks or the internet. But what if you need to transfer data between isolated environments that you’ve set up? VPC-SC directional policies is a new secure data exchange feature that allows you to configure efficient, private, and secure data exchange between isolated environments.
- Anthos service mesh supports VMs as well as clusters – Most enterprise compute resources are still in VMs and many will remain there for a long time to come. In Anthos 1.7, your VM-based workloads can now take advantage of the same mesh functionality as your container-based workloads.
- Cloud Spanner CMEK and Access Approvals – Cloud Spanner is Google Cloud’s fully managed relational database that offers unlimited scale, high performance, strong consistency across regions and high availability. Spanner now supports customer-managed encryption keys (CMEK) and Access Approval, Google Cloud’s industry-leading controls to require approval before access to your content by Google support and engineering teams.
- External Key Manager enhancements – In early 2020 we launched Cloud External Key Manager (Cloud EKM), the industry’s leading Hold-Your-Own-Key (HYOK) product. Using Cloud EKM, the keys used to protect your data stored and processed in Google Cloud are completely hosted and managed outside of Google Cloud infrastructure. Cloud EKM initially launched with support for BigQuery and GCE/PD; we expanded support for Cloud SQL, GKE, Dataflow Shuffle, and Secret Manager, with CMEK support currently in beta. We also provided in-depth documentation on the functionality, architecture and use cases for Cloud EKM in a new whitepaper.
- Web App and API Protection solution – Web applications and public APIs are increasingly important to how organizations interface with their customers and partners, and we’ve seen increased investment in tools to protect these resources from fraud and abuse. Google Cloud’s new Web App and API protection solution is based on the same technology Google uses to protect its public-facing services against web application exploits, DDoS attacks, fraudulent bot activity, and API targeted threats. It provides protection across clouds and on-premises environments.
- Threat Intel for Chronicle – Most threat intelligence feeds require security teams to do the implementation and legwork. With our new Threat Intel for Chronicle offering, however, our intelligence insights are applied automatically across your security telemetry to present unique observations within your environment. Threat Intel for Chronicle is exclusively curated for enterprise customers by Uppercase, Google Cloud’s intelligence research and applications team to provide our perspective on threats across the internet and surface them as relevant alerts.

Beyond Traditional Learning: AI-based Online Learning Platform and Google Cloud Solutions Push Learners to Get Ahead

The combination of a vital need for IT experts among businesses and a digital skills gap is making lifelong learning increasingly critical. Beyond professional development, learning new skills offers additional rewards from building peer connections to boosting your creativity. Existing learning platforms lack engagement
Outside of traditional education settings, massive open online learning courses (MOOCs)—often modeled after university courses—can provide a flexible and affordable way to upskill or reskill. But the vast majority of people who participate in MOOC programs fail to complete courses. Based on our research, the challenge with existing learning platforms is a lack of engagement, primarily caused by limited direction on which skills to learn, whether AI, fintech, blockchain, or other in-demand disciplines.
We’ve also received feedback that many corporate learning management systems–developed as online training systems to upskill employees–tend to be poorly designed and time-consuming to use.
Overall, a significant challenge with most existing learning platforms is that they’re generic. For example, suppose you’re interested in learning about AI. In that case, you need AI-related coursework that applies to your industry and the job you want because AI in medicine is vastly different from AI in financial services. Today’s online learning options typically take a one-size-fits-all approach and fail to capture the nuances of what learners really need to get ahead.
Building a future-proof learning platform
The commitment to highly personalized, accessible learning inspired KIMO.ai, a platform that we believe is the future of education. Depending on your goals, current skills, location, and other factors, our AI-based platform will identify which coursework (and where to find those classes) to build the skills you need. The more personalized, relevant learning recommendations even take into account people’s preferences for podcasts, MOOCs, books, articles, videos, courses, publications, and more.
In a mix of cooperation and competition we call “coopetition,” KIMO.ai will regularly recommend courses from other established online learning systems if, based on our automated assessment, it’s the best option for a learner. There’s also the option to access free content only.
Google cultural alignment fosters trust
Our platform started with one developer exploring NLP models and Google APIs. As we’ve grown our team and launched our beta to 110,000 users in developing markets, we discovered there is a lot of interest in our platform, and we believe we can make a significant impact. In feedback forums, we also learned that we need to focus our efforts on the mobile experience to improve engagement since 99% of the beta testers use mobile devices.
Beyond our team’s high level of trust in Google Cloud solutions, our team also appreciates the cultural alignment with Google. We value Google’s developer-centric approach and rely on tools like Dataflow for batch data processing and Cloud TPU to reliably run machine learning models with AI services on Google Cloud. We also build all of our deployments on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), which makes it easy to manage all our containerized workloads
On the front end, Google App Engine makes it easy to deploy apps and experiment, and it integrates seamlessly with Firebase for authentication and more. BigQuery is our serverless data warehouse that efficiently scales to support the millions of articles, videos, and other learning resources we need to analyze to provide the targeted coursework recommendations our learners require.
As we grow our business having a network of trusted advisors is also extremely valuable. By working closely with DoIT International, the 2020 Google Cloud Global Reseller Partner of the Year, our team has access to their cloud, Kubernetes, and machine learning expertise. DoIT has already helped us quickly resolve IT issues and create analytics dashboards that give us insights to continually enhance our services.
Building for a growing industry
The dynamic edtech market is growing rapidly and estimated to become an $11B industry by 2025. Creation of Go applications on Google Cloud Made Easy

Go is the world’s leading programming language for cloud-based development, used by millions of developers to build and scale their cloud applications and business-critical cloud infrastructure. Whether it’s building CLIs, web applications, or cloud and network services, developers find Go easy to learn, easy to maintain, and packed with useful features such as built in concurrency and a robust standard library.
And now, getting started with Go on Google Cloud is a little bit easier. Following Go’s recent announcement of gonew, an experimental tool for instantiating new projects in Go from predefined templates, Google Cloud is releasing four templates for gonew that developers can use to bootstrap their Go applications across several Google Cloud products. This includes common use cases such as creating a simple HTTP handler Cloud Function, subscribing to a Cloud Pub/Sub topic, or creating an HTTP Server on Cloud Run.
Google Cloud Go templates
- httpfn: A basic HTTP handler (Cloud Function)
- pubsubfn: A function that is subscribed to a PubSub topic handling a Cloud Event (Cloud Function)
- microservice: An HTTP server that can can be deployed to a serverless runtime (Cloud Run)
- taskhandler: An basic app that handles tasks from requests (App Engine)
Let’s get started
- Make sure you have Go installed on your machine, if not you need to download/install from here .
- Start by installing gonew using go install:
$ go install golang.org/x/tools/cmd/gonew@latest
To generate a basic HTTP Handler Cloud Function, instantiate the existing httpfn template by running gonew in your new project’s parent directory. As of now, gonew’s syntax expects two arguments: first, the path to the template you wish to invoke, and second, the module name of the project you are creating. For example:$ gonew github.com/GoogleCloudPlatform/go-templates/functions/httpfn yourdomain.com/httpfn - Deploy this new go module to Cloud Functions by following the steps listed here, you can also try this in the Cloud Shell editor.
What’s next?

Release of Go 1.18 is A New Milestone for Development of Secure Apps

On March 15th, the Go team announced Go 1.18 GA, the latest release of the Go programming language. The culmination of over a decade of design delivers the features our developers demanded: generics, fuzzing, and module workspaces. With this release, Go becomes the first major language to integrate fuzz testing into its core toolchain without using third-party support, further establishing Go as a preferred language for developing secure applications.
Go was created at Google in 2007, designed to help developers build fast, reliable, and secure software. Unlike traditional languages, Go was built for the modern multi-core computing world. Go has emerged as a modern language for developing cloud applications, services, and infrastructure. Today Go powers several of Google’s largest products, and is used by many customers to scale their businesses. Organizations big and small love Go and the community of Go developers, known as “gophers” has grown into a global network with over 2 million users worldwide.
Using the power of Go in the Cloud
When looking at the public repos, over 75% of CNCF projects including Kubernetes are written in Go and 10% of developers are writing in Go worldwide (as of May 2021). Google delivers high performance infrastructure to run key, cloud native, Open Source projects. Our modern cloud infrastructure is based on Kubernetes at its core and our strong support for Istio and Knative have formed the base of some of our leading services like Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), our managed application platform with Anthos, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Run. Google uses Go extensively for a wide range of applications from our indexing platform that powers Google Search, to the server side optimizations that power Chrome’s 1B+ users, to the infrastructure on which Google cloud is built.
Release Highlights
With this new release of Go 1.18, Generics are the biggest change to Go since the language was created. Go developers told us that they feel that Go lacks critical features, with generics being the main missing piece. With Go 1.18, new and existing Go developers can take advantage of the productivity, performance, and maintenance benefits that generics can bring. We’ve already begun to see the new kinds of libraries and projects gophers are building with generics in its short beta period, and expect this creativity to grow as time goes on.
This Go release also brings native support for fuzzing. Fuzzing is a type of vulnerability testing that throws arbitrary data at a piece of software to expose unknown errors and is emerging as a common testing scheme in enterprise development. Go is now the first major language to provide fuzzing support with no third-party integrations necessary, allowing developers to start building secure software with minimal additional cost. Go’s innovative approach to fuzzing can provide not only security for the current code but also ongoing protection as code and dependencies evolve. With attacks on software becoming more common and complex, vulnerability detection can be a critical part of the enterprise development lifecycle, and Go’s fuzzing capabilities catch vulnerabilities earlier in the lifecycle.
Build securely using Go
At Google we are helping to make Open Source software secure. Open source software is a connective tissue for much of the online world. Go has been designed to create secure applications, helping to minimize risk as much as possible. Go applications compile down to a single binary without local dependencies. It’s not uncommon to see an application built using only the standard library, or only a couple well-vetted Go dependencies. Go’s dependency management uses tamper-evident transparency log, with built in tooling that helps ensure your dependencies are what you can expect. Go has native encryption, which is used across much of the internet, including key components of Google. Go even supports distroless containers, where there are zero local dependencies to worry about. Google Cloud products like Cloud Build, for CI/CDand Artifact Registry, for container management, and have direct access to Go’s vulnerability database and can provide you instant warnings about security threats.

Woolaroo App and Vision AI are Helping Users Explore Native Languages

One of the most vibrant elements of culture is the use of native languages and the time-honored tradition of storytelling. Anthropologists and linguists have been vocal on the role that language plays in the preservation of culture and how it contributes to the appreciation of heritage.
Unfortunately, of the more than 7,000 languages that are spoken around the globe, nearly 3,000 are at risk of disappearing. In fact, it’s estimated that on average a language becomes extinct every fourteen days. Google Arts & Culture realized that with some creative technology and partnering with language organisations, we could help create an interactive and educational tool to help promote them.
Enter Woolaroo, an open-source photo-translation platform powered by machine learning and image recognition. The application was built on Google Cloud to encourage users to explore endangered languages around the world. Users are able to take a picture of an object in real-time, and the application returns the word in its native language, along with its pronunciation.
Woolaroo was created with the philosophy that learning languages is greatly enhanced through engagement and context. By seeing an object in its environment, it’s easier to retain the information and then use it more naturally in conversation.
With the help of Googlers, Woolaroo was launched in 10 languages, including Calabrian Greek, Louisiana Creole, Maori and Yiddish. During the conception stage of the app, teams from Partner Innovation and Google Arts & Culture put out an open call to the rest of Google to see what lesser-known languages our employees spoke. They then worked with the individuals that responded to develop dictionaries that were reviewed by partner institutions to ensure translations were correct and consistent.
Woolaroo uses Google Cloud Vision API, which derives insights from images using AutoML or pre-trained models to quickly classify images into millions of predefined categories. This makes AI accessible and useful to more people as AutoML automates the training of these machine learning models.
